Full grain leather is an excellent material because it preserves its original surface without having to be modified. The natural grain creates a unique look for each product. Most of the leather produced by Rigato Romano Srl are full grain leathers.
correct
The correct grain is preferred for projects in which a uniformly textured surface has been requested. The correct leather is subject to light retouching process to minimise the natural imperfections that are found on the surface.
THE FINISHING
anilina
aniline colouring is carried out by dipping the hides into drums with transparent aniline dyes so that they penetrate the skins. This process is used only for hides of the highest quality because any superficial imperfection will not be hidden.
semi-aniline
semi-aniline staining is a similar process, but a pigment is added, which improves the durability and consistency of the colour. Nevertheless natural imperfections will still be visible in the skins.
